Nettie says "You really need to post something..."

Here are a few random pics...

My Princess!

Christopher's Cheerleading Team

Topher and Nettie

Wanna kiss?

Huh? Are you talking to me?

As she is sitting here over my shoulder telling me how to spell and correction my punctuation, I would like to hit her over the head with my laptop...LOL! NO NOT FUNNY!!!

No really she is to cute to hit, besides I will not be charged with child abuse!

Anyways, life is busy, oh so busy. You know that ole' chestnut!

Babysitting, playing with a 5 year old and a 18 month old, oh my life is so much fun these days. Yeah, when my kids were this age I was working full time. I love these ages, I love when they are just learning how to talk and when they talk constantly! Oh gotta love that Cameron!

We are all good here, Nettie is busy with school and doing great, and Chris is done with football (YEAH!) and he is in school too! (NO COMMENT).

Craig just changed over to a new unit in the Air National Guard and is now the First Sergeant, which basiclly just means, he will be gone (not as in overseas) alot. But he is real excited and I am excited for him.

Down and Out...

My silly kids...are they hilarious or what?
I am a little bit depressed that school started and my kids are gone during the day, we had such a fun summer. But I do have the little boys now to help me along.

Craig will be home in a few days and hopefully things will get back to normal...

I tell you, he leaves and everything goes to hell...excuse my language!!

My Explorer broke down and my neighbor came and helped me home, but now the darn hood won't close, so I had to drive 20 mph home from the east side of Layton...That was fun...NOT!!

Then I got a call and found out a really good friend's husband passed away suddenly and I am so worried about her being all alone in that big house by herself.

My DSL modem isn't working properly, and I want to throw it across the room!!!

Christopher had his first football game and hurt his knee and was out for the count!!! UUgghh!

But then I think of my dear friend and realize all of my problems are miniscule, compared to others. So I am done being negative and venting is good for the soul and I feel better and if you are reading this...well...too bad!!! LOL

GO LAYTON COLTS!

Off again...

Well my hubby is off again.

Thank heavens this is just for a few weeks. I can handle a few weeks!!!

It is almost time to start up babysitting again, and I am really looking forward to getting the school year going. Nettie is excited for 10th grade, me not so much...LOL! Topher is busy with football and he needs to go back to school!!!

My brother, Reed and his wife, Janet bought a house down in Pensacola. So when we go to visit we will be able to stay with them, which will be much more fun. They are a hoot!!!

Trip to Florida Part II

Well we spent 2 days at my brother's house in Kansas, and then we headed off to Florida. We passed thru Oklahoma, Texas and I didn't think my parents could handle another 17 hour car drive so we stopped in a hell hole, called Monroe, Louisiana. If you ever go through there I recommend keep going!!! Then we went on thru Mississippi and Alabama and f-i-n-a-l-l-y...
Florida!!YEAH!!!

Florida has a special smell (salty sea air and sea breeze) memories just came flooding back. It was so great to be "home". The first night there we went to Pensacola Beach Board Walk so every one except Nettie, Tom (my cousin) and I could get a Bushwhacker (alcoholic drink), then we went to a restaurant called Flounders and had wonderful seafood for dinner. We also had a wonderful time chatting with my family I haven't seen in about 25 years. We laughed and laughed and laughed. Tom is such a comedian. He had us in stitches.

Courtney and Diane on the Boardwalk

Jodi, Tom, Diane, Mom and Dad eating dinner

The second day we went to the beach with our cousins and Aunt and Mom and hung out and collected shells and then went to a open bar and had fried oysters and crab cakes. Mom and Diane had another Bushwhacker and Nettie and I had a virgin strawberry daiquiri.

Rob and Courtney Dancing

Then we went to the Wedding Reception and had more fun there dancing and singing and dancing and dancing...

Sunday we went to the beach and just hung out and relaxed and goofed around then we went back to Rob and Courtney's for dinner.

Nettie, Tom, Linda Kay, and Diane at the beach. My feet in the yummy sand, so warm!

Monday we went to breakfast with everyone and said our good-byes and headed home...

It actually went by really fast. The only thing that would of made the trip better is if Craig and Pher were there!

Thanks to all of my family, we had a great time and we love all of you very much!!!

HERE WE GO TO FLORIDA.....

On a sunday morning...
My parents came and picked up Nettie and I and off we went on our journey.
First we went through the lovely state of Wyoming...
Nice and pretty !
Then we went thru Colorado, which is green and lush...

and the move we got into the state the more fir trees we saw.
Then we hit Kansas and it was very green and very beautiful and
flat, a few very small hills and that is about it...

I let my dad drive alittle bit this first day, but then I drove the rest.
1000 miles in 1 day....DON"T DO IT!!!!
We have been at my brother Reed's house for a few days and tomorrow
we will start the second leg of the trip.
I will add more as we progress along...

Then about 4 pm we headed home relaxed for a bit and headed next door to the Christensen's for a BBQ and fireworks. I think this is becoming a tradition. They are so much fun to hang out with and I just love their parents! We all ate to much then had dessert and played with the little boy's and then went on in the street and did our fireworks.

Oquirreh Temple

We went to the Oquirreh Temple Tour on Friday as a family and it was such a wonderful experience to be there with my kids too. The temple is exquisite, yet simple and elegant.

The best part of the tour was when they brought us into the sealing room and had us all sit down and you could see into the mirrors. It brought back memories of the day Craig and I were sealed together for time and all eternity and then they had us look into those mirrors and I remember it taking my breathe away. To be sitting there and have my children look into those mirrors and experience the same reaction I had 21 years ago is beyond words.

What a beautiful thing!
