MEMORIES......

Now be nice and only leave good memories!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Happy Birthday, Craig

July 29th is Craig's birthday he turns 42 years old. Wow, we have been together for 20 years. I can not believe it. Sometimes it seems like yesterday when I was laughing at his Rodney Dangerfield jokes on the phone and going on dates in the old golden truck to Dairy Queen to share a small butterfinger blizzard and driving up to the rocket park and swinging on the swings, because we were both so broke that is all we could afford to do. But we were always laughing and having a great time together. Craig you are an amazing husband with a kind and loving soul. You make me a better person. Thank you for loving me just as I am. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't fall more deeply in love with you. You are my HERO! I am so proud of you for the sacrifices you make for our family and for your country. It is so very difficult to be away from you, sometimes I can't function.... But emailing you back and forth everyday keeps me going. Thank you for always making me feel beautiful, even when I don't have makeup on, and my mom tells me I look horrible without makeup. Thank you for always having words of wisdom when I am feeling down or need your help with something. I can always count on your knowledge. Thanks for fixing dinner on those nights when I can't function and for not making me feel guilty about it. Thank you for loving my family even thou we are absolutely crazy! Thank you for being a man who isn't afraid to show his emotions. (That is one of the reasons I fell in love with you) We have made two beautiful children together, gifts from Heavenly Father, I am so grateful that we have an eternal family. Thank you for your testimony it helps strengthen mine and our family. I appreciate the sacrifice you are making working at a job that is unfulfilling because you can't make that kind of money somewhere else. You are my best friend, my lover, my white knight, my life, and you hold my heart in your hands. I hope you have a great birthday, even though you are away from us, I am sure it will be nice and quiet and that you haven't told anyone, just the way you like it.....All My Love Forever, Jodi

YIKES! Two Teenagers now.....

Christopher turned 13 on the 25th. It was a little depressing for him because his dad wasn't here and he got to hang out with me, but we went to the movies and went out to lunch and then just hung out. We had a family get together on the 26th and Trey came over and Cameron (his best friend) came over, we had cake and ice cream and he was able to open his presents.

B-A-T-M-A-N M-O-V-I-E The Dark Knight

Awesome movie!!! Chris and I went with the Christensen's today to see the new Batman movie and out to dinner. The movie was the best movie I have seen in along time and the kids and I go to the movies 2 or 3 times a week. Very entertaining, good story line, good strong characters...I would go see this over and over. I won't say alot about the movie because if you haven't seen it I don't want to spoil it. Lots of twists I didn't expect. For an over 2 hour movie went by fast.

Weekend

Well, I finally slept, yeah. A whole 6 hours Friday night. Janette is gone for the week to her Aunt Monica's for a girl's week because Uncle Steve is out of town. I think they are having a Jane Erye Fest. Chris of course i stuck hanging out with mom. He is finally recouperating from two ear aches and the flu. He got his new laptop for his birthday so he is very busy with that. Friday was my dad's 82nd birthday so we had a party for him on Saturday. I made a red potatoe salad and it has a balsalmic dressing that goes on it so throughtout the day I would take it out of the fridge and stir it and taste to see if it needed more flavoring, well I had it in a glass bowl and about 3pm I took it out to stir it anddropped it on the tile floor and yes it shattered and potatoe salad went everywhere. Having to be at my folks at 5pm I decided to go to the store and buy potatoe salad on the way there, but then feeling guilty because your dad only turns 82 once in a life time and he requested potatoe salad. I boiled more potatoes and made more, Anyway, the party was alotta fun (of course I forgot the camera so there are no pictures).

American Idol Concert

First off I do not watch alot of TV, a few british comedies and that is about it, but my friend Julie got me interest in American Idol this year. I had never watched it before, but got interested because one boy was from Utah and another girl was LDS and from Arizona. Anyway Julie called me today and said I have free tickets to the American Idol concert do you and Nettie want to go. So we loaded up the van and away we went. We had a blast! I haven't been to a concert for a few years. I think the last one I went to was with Craig we went to see Van Halen with Sammy Hagar singing the lead. It isn't the best picture because Nettie took it on the cellphone but here it is anyway.

52 more days

We will start out our blog telling everyone that Craig (dad) is overseas in Kuwait and we are anxiously awaiting his return the first part of September. He has been gone for 2 months and it has been very difficult without him around. We have awesome neighbors and friends who are so willing to help us out and we are so very grateful to them.
